Discover the Joy of Soccer with Colorado Storm
At Colorado Storm, we believe that every child belongs on the field, which is why we are dedicated to fostering a lifelong love for the sport through our vibrant recreational programs. Serving families across the Front Range and beyond, our program provides a fun, safe, and encouraging introduction to the beautiful game for players of all ages and abilities. Whether your athlete is a U5 player just starting their journey or a seasoned U19 multi-sport competitor, we provide a developmentally appropriate environment where they can build confidence and skill.
By joining the Storm family, your player becomes part of a community that values growth, inclusivity, and the pure joy of the game. Our age-specific curriculum is designed to spark a passion for soccer while ensuring a strong foundation in fundamentals and tactical understanding. From local in-house leagues to diverse regional competition, we offer flexible pathways that allow every athlete to find their rhythm and reach their full potential. Families can expect small sided games, increasing the number of touches each player gets with the ball before progressing to larger playing formats.
Every player starts with a spark—join us and watch that momentum grow across the Front Range.

Our Storm recreational pathway is the most ‘traditional’ youth soccer setup with a volunteer coach who works with our staff to coordinate training details and leads the team for every practice and game. Our youngest teams start at U5 with a 3v3 game format and progress as they grow and develop more skills to 9v9 in the oldest age groups.
Flexible League Options for Local Families
We offer several ways to play to fit your family's schedule and travel preferences:
In-House: Storm In-House Leagues are hosted within the region, offering the most local gamedays possible for those teams. Our In-House teams only play other teams within their region, unless they sign up for a tournament outside of their normal league programming.
Inter-Branch: Storm Inter-Branch Leagues are hosted between the Castle Rock, South, Central, and North regions. This requires some travel in the Denver metro area and allows for more diverse competition across the regions.
CSA Front Range League: The CSA Front Range League is ran by the state association and requires teams to travel across the Colorado Front Range for their weekend games. Teams will compete against other youth soccer clubs, which may include other Storm teams.
Our Storm Rec Plus programming is a hybrid of our recreational and competitive programming, utilizing a parent volunteer coach and a paid professional coach provided by the club. Working in tandem, the volunteer and contract coach lead practices, with gamedays led by the parent volunteer coach. Rec Plus is currently offered in the following regions: Castle Rock, South, and Central.

Our Storm Thunder programming offers a space for our younger players (U8-U10) who live and breathe soccer to hone their skills in a challenging yet rewarding environment. This is an invite-only program that volunteer and club-contract coaches recommend players for based on observations in our recreational leagues and camp programming.
The Storm Thunder program prioritizes individual confidence and ball mastery above all else, with a curriculum built on maximizing touches on the ball.

Recreational Uniform Details
Colorado Storm partners with Soccer.com for all uniform needs. All Storm recreational players are required to purchase the uniform kit (white top, black top, black shorts, and black socks) before the first game. We recommend ordering at least one month in advance of the first game to ensure they arrive in time for league play. Players are required to wear the official Storm jersey combo for games. Recreational families can stay in their recreational kit for as long as they participate in recreational programming, and the pieces fit their player!
Please note that uniforms are not included in the registration costs. Additionally, uniforms cannot be purchased on-site at any Storm office—they must be purchased online via Soccer.com.

Volunteers & Key Roles
Parent volunteers are the heart of our recreational program, and we invite you to be a vital part of your child's soccer journey. Every recreational team is led by dedicated parent volunteer coaches (often two!), who receive ongoing support from their Program Director and Administrator.
Colorado Storm is committed to empowering our volunteer coaches. We provide valuable resources such as example curriculum guides, essential coaching equipment, and engaging coaching education sessions to help you succeed.
