About the Program
Elevate Your Game with Colorado Storm Competitive
Fuel your child’s ambition and unlock their highest potential with the Colorado Storm Competitive program. Serving families across the Front Range, we provide a high-energy environment where dedicated athletes thrive. Our U11–U19 players develop under the guidance of expert coaches committed to technical precision and personal growth.
Why Choose the Storm Competitive Experience?
Professional Coaching: Our licensed staff focuses on tactical intelligence and technical mastery to prepare players for the next level.
Top Competition: Storm teams compete against top-tier talent across Colorado, fostering a culture of resilience and excellence.
A Clear Pathway: From foundational competitive play to elite showcases, we provide the momentum your athlete needs to reach their goals.
Holistic Development: We don’t just build soccer players; we build leaders who carry a growth mindset off the pitch.

The Colorado Storm experience is designed to yield results that last a lifetime. While we strive for trophies, the true benefits are found in the character and capability of our athletes.
Total Athlete Development
Physical Performance: Through rigorous conditioning, Storm athletes build the physical foundation required to compete at the highest levels of the game.
Mental Resilience & Toughness: Players learn to thrive under pressure, transforming setbacks into fuel for growth and handling every victory with the poise of a champion.
Life Skills: By balancing a demanding training schedule with academic excellence, our players develop the responsibility needed for success in high school, college, and beyond.
Unified Teamwork: At Storm, success is a collective effort. Athletes master the art of tactical communication and selfless cooperation, learning that the strongest surge comes when the entire team moves as one.
Success at Colorado Storm is built on a foundation of mutual respect and elite work ethic. To maintain our high-energy environment, we hold our players, parents, and coaches to a standard that reflects our commitment to excellence.
For Players: We expect our athletes to take full ownership of their development. Being part of the Storm means more than just showing up; it means arriving with the intent to improve.
Unwavering Commitment: Attendance at all training sessions and matches is vital. We value players who prioritize their team and understand that elite performance requires consistent effort both on and off the ball.
Resilient Mentality: We encourage a "Growth Mindset." Storm players are expected to handle challenges with poise, listen to coaching feedback with an open mind, and treat opponents and officials with the utmost respect.
Personal Responsibility: From U11 to U19, players are responsible for their own gear, hydration, and preparation. Mastery starts with the small details.
For Parents: Parents are the steady current that allows our athletes to soar. Your role is to provide the emotional stability your child needs to take risks on the pitch.
Positive Sideline Presence: We ask parents to be the ultimate "cheerleaders," focusing on effort and attitude rather than the scoreboard.
Trust the Process: To avoid confusing our players, we ask that tactical instructions come solely from the Storm coaching staff. Your support at home allows the coach to lead on the field.
Professional Communication: We observe a "24-Hour Rule" for post-game discussions. This ensures that all conversations regarding player development are productive, calm, and focused on the long-term goal.

Player Placement Process
At Colorado Storm, we believe that a single day on the pitch doesn't tell a player's whole story. Serving the entire Front Range, our placement process is designed to find the perfect environment for your athlete to build momentum. We focus on long-term development for all U11–U19 players, ensuring they are placed where they can both contribute and be challenged.
Intent to Play (ITP): Your First Step
The "Intent to Play" registration is your signal to the club that your athlete is ready for the upcoming Fall or Spring season. While this is not a final commitment to the club, it is mandatory for all current and prospective players. Registering ensures you receive critical updates regarding:
Official evaluation dates and locations.
Age-group specific training sessions.
A Holistic Evaluation Philosophy
Storm moves away from the high-stress "tryout" model. We recognize that performance can fluctuate, which is why we utilize Year-Round Evaluation.
For Current Players: Our staff observes your athlete’s progress throughout the entire season, valuing consistency and a growth mindset over a single performance.
For New Players: Placement sessions provide a structured, high-energy environment to showcase your skills in front of our professional coaching staff.

Vital Team Volunteer Roles
The momentum of a Colorado Storm team is fueled by more than just the players and coaches; it is powered by the dedicated parent leaders who step up to steer our community toward success. Our Team Managers and Treasurers serve as the operational engine for our U8–U19 programs, ensuring that every logistical detail is handled with the same precision our athletes bring to the field. By volunteering in these vital roles, you are not just managing a schedule or a budget—you are creating a professionalized environment where our "Culture of Joy" can thrive and our athletes can focus entirely on their development.

The Team Manager is a high-impact role responsible for the operational rhythm of the season. By streamlining communication and organizing the "Storm experience," you create an environment where excellence can thrive.
Core Responsibilities:
Direct Communication: Partner with the coach to keep families informed on training schedules, match-day shifts, and club updates.
Event Coordination: Ignite the team culture by planning social events and team-building activities.
Travel Logistics: Lead the charge for tournament travel, ensuring the team is organized and ready for away-game success.
Tournament Entry: Work alongside the Treasurer to manage official registrations for local and regional events.
The Team Treasurer ensures the team’s financial health and transparency. Your precision allows the team to pursue elite tournament opportunities and maintain a steady course throughout the Fall and Spring seasons.
Core Responsibilities:
Budget Management: Oversee the team’s seasonal funds and provide transparent updates to families.
Financial Logistics: Coordinate with the Manager to handle tournament entry fees and coach travel reimbursements.
Resource Oversight: Manage the collection of team-specific dues to ensure all planned activities are fully funded.
At Storm, we don't expect you to lead alone. We provide a professional support system to ensure your success:
Dedicated Admin Staff: Access to our regional administrative experts for one-on-one guidance.
Resource Toolkits: Digital templates, budget trackers, and communication guides to save you time.
