Elevate Your Game with Colorado Storm Futsal

The Colorado Storm Futsal program delivers a high-intensity, skill-driven environment designed for competitive players to sharpen their edge. Serving Denver and the surrounding Front Range, our program provides the fast-paced court setting necessary to supplement and supercharge traditional soccer training. Futsal is an elite, small-sided (5v5) game played on a hard surface with a specialized low-bounce ball.

Maximum Ball Contact: Players receive significantly more touches on the ball than in traditional soccer, accelerating technical growth.
Rapid Decision Making: The compact court forces players to increase their speed of play and solve tactical puzzles under pressure.
Elite Facilities: Our primary training home is the Berce at Regis University in Denver, featuring full-size courts designed for top-tier athletic performance.

Futsal Program Offerings

The Elite Futsal Academy (EFA) is the premier training tier within Colorado Storm. This program is designed for the dedicated athlete looking to master the technical and tactical demands of the court. Players join the EFA through direct invitation based on previous performance, or by selection during our open tryouts and scheduled evaluation days.

The EFA is structured into three specialized development phases:

EFA Jrs (U6–U8 | Birth Years 2019–2017): Building the foundation of ball mastery and court awareness.
EFA Futures (U9–U13 | Birth Years 2016–2012): Developing tactical synergy and high-speed decision making.
EFA High School (U14–U19 | Birth Years 2011–2008): Refining elite performance and preparing players for regional and national competition.

Training & Competition Structure

Once selected, players are placed into elite training pools based on age and skill level. This structure ensures every athlete is surrounded by a high-energy environment that fosters constant growth.

10-Month Training Cycle: Teams train once per week, providing a consistent "drumbeat" of development throughout the year.
Monthly Scrimmage Dates: We integrate dedicated scrimmage dates into our regular training schedule. These high-pressure sessions allow players to apply the Storm game model in a controlled, competitive environment.
Competitive Pathway: Players have the option to travel and compete in 4–6 local, regional, and national tournaments based on interest and availability.

The Elite Futsal Academy (EFA) serves as the premier training tier within Colorado Storm. Training Structure & Schedule

Our 10-month training cycle provides a consistent "surge" of development throughout the year, with specific training days designated by program:

EFA Jrs & EFA High School: Sessions held 1x per week on Fridays.
EFA Futures: Sessions held 1x per week on Sundays.

Game-Model Integration

To ensure our players are prepared for the intensity of competition, the Storm EFA curriculum includes monthly scrimmage dates during regularly scheduled training. These sessions increase the number of game-like situations players face, allowing them to apply our specific game model and methodology in a controlled, high-reward environment.
