The Colorado Storm U5-U6 Recreational program in Castle Rock serves as the vital bridge between early discovery and organized team play. At this age, children are transitioning from playing "alongside" others to playing "with" them. To maximize player development, teams compete in a Castle Rock In-House League. By keeping matches within our local community, we provide a consistent, convenient schedule for families and a comfortable environment for players to test their skills against their peers. These match days utilize the 3v3 format (no goalkeepers), which is the gold standard for U5-U6 development. In a 3v3 setting, the field is small enough that no player can "hide," ensuring everyone is constantly involved in the action. This format guarantees more touches on the ball, more 1v1 opportunities, and significantly more goals, which builds the confidence necessary for long-term success.
