The Colorado Storm Lightning Lab at Gates South is an athletic performance clinic tailored for players in the 11U–18U age groups who want to unlock a higher gear on the pitch. This specialized program focuses on Speed, Agility, and Quickness (SAQ), targeting the mechanics of explosive movement—acceleration, deceleration, and multidirectional coordination. These athletic foundations are what allow a player to translate technical skill into high-speed game impact.
Hosted at our Storm South regional hub, this lab is open to athletes from all Storm regions and non-Storm players alike. We offer a professional, high-standard environment where players from across the community can sharpen their physical edge. This camp is specifically designed for competitive and growth-minded athletes who want to keep pace with the increasing speed of modern soccer while maintaining balance and physical composure.
The curriculum moves beyond general conditioning to focus on soccer-specific movements. By isolating footwork patterns and reaction triggers, we help players eliminate wasted motion and improve their "first step" quickness. Whether your player is a defender needing to close gaps or an attacker looking to beat a marker, the Lightning Lab provides the athletic tools necessary to dominate 1-on-1 matchups.
