About

Hosted at Storm Castle Rock, the Ball Mastery Series offers a progressive, high-touch winter training program designed to elevate individual ball control, coordination, and footwork precision. Held outdoors on the turf at Philip S. Miller Park, this multi-week evening clinic provides dedicated players with consistent, structured skill development across late fall and winter sessions.

The program is open to players from all Colorado Storm regions as well as non-Storm players looking for top-tier developmental coaching. Positioned as a specialized skill-building accelerator, it serves beginner, developmental, and competitive athletes across the U5 through U14 age groups who are eager to build genuine comfort and confidence with the ball.

Each one-hour weekly session is organized by age and ability level (with age-specific time slots spanning U5 to U14) to ensure an appropriate physical and technical challenge. Players work through fast-paced, highly repetitive exercises focused on dynamic dribbling, dynamic footwork, turns, and execution under progressive defensive pressure.

Unlike general recreational clinics or broad team practices, this series isolates foundational ball manipulation in a focused, high-rep environment. It provides the ideal seasonal supplement for recreational players transitioning toward competitive environments, as well as current competitive athletes seeking to sharpen their technical foundation during the winter off-season.

Player Attributes

The Ball Mastery Series delivers a high-energy, structured environment grounded in technical repetition and constructive coaching. Hosted at Storm Castle Rock, this welcoming multi-week program invites players from all regions and external clubs to spend their winter evenings actively mastering the ball. The experience is tailored for growth-minded athletes who respond well to organized instruction, high touch frequency, and measurable skill progression.

  • Ability-Based Level Placement: Groups players by age brackets (U5 through U14) and skill levels to guarantee appropriate challenge, safety, and individual growth.

  • High-Repetition Ball Contact: Maximizes individual touches within an efficient 60-minute window to build coordination, speed, and muscle memory.

  • Progressive Technical Curriculum: Focuses on fundamental and advanced ball manipulation, including sharp dribbling, tight control, footwork precision, and escape moves under pressure.

  • Turf Facility Location: Utilizes the artificial turf fields at Philip S. Miller Park to ensure fast-paced, predictable ball roll and high-tempo drill execution.

  • Professional Coaching Standards: Led by experienced Colorado Storm trainers committed to clear physical demonstrations, high energy, and actionable feedback.

  • Multi-Week Winter Consistency: Structured across five- and six-week weekly blocks, allowing athletes to form lasting technical habits over time.

  • Growth-Minded Athletes: Ideal for players looking to transition into competitive soccer or competitive athletes seeking to sharpen their technical edge.

Together with Colorado Storm and Storm Castle Rock, this series generates the momentum and ball confidence players need to elevate their game on the pitch.
