The Colorado Storm Boys ECNL is in full swing and the 03 Boys, coached by Director Brian Haynes, has quickly established itself as a league leader. After 5 games, the team has 4 wins and 1 loss and leads the U15 Texas Division with an impressive 2.23 points per game. According to Coach Haynes, "I enjoy working with the group. Its been a smooth transition for the players who played in the DA and are now in the ECNL. Our hope is that our next generation of DA players see this as an excellent pathway for their development. The standard and organization of the league is extremely high and I've been impressed with every aspect in this inaugural season." Standouts thus far have been Mitchell Morris, Ben Beckman, Peyton Voelker, Isaac Boherer, Cyrus Gulati, Gavin Tinic, Josh Dermer, and Matthew Kishenevski.
College coach exposure was abundant for our 00's and 01's who attended the first ever ECNL National Event in Sanford, FL over the New Years holiday. Coaches from over 100 colleges were in attendance and both coaches (Diego Cerro and Jon Jacobs, respectively) were impressed with the number of coaches who attended their games. Said Coach Cerro, "The facility was beautiful, and we are very happy with level of competition and college coach exposure the team is receiving".
The league breaks until April 8th, and then trips to San Diego and San Antonio will follow. For more information on the Storm Boys ECNL go to http://coloradostorm.com/Boys-ECNL
