Colorado Storm Receives Grant for Elite Player Programs
Daniels Fund Awards Storm $40,000 Through Elite Amateur Sports Fund For Second Straight Year

Centennial, CO (July 11, 2017) – Colorado Storm Soccer Association announced today that it has received a $40,000 Daniels Fund grant to support their girls ECNL and boys US Soccer Development Academy elite player programs for the second straight year.

The largest soccer club in the state, Colorado Storm soccer programs include over 7,500 players age 4-18 in multiple areas across the Front Range. Storm’s top female players in the u14-18 age groups compete in the ECNL, considered the top girls’ development program in the country. Storm’s top boys’ teams in the u12-14 age groups participate in the U.S. Soccer Federation’s Development Academy program.  This grant will help to support these players that compete at the highest levels youth soccer has to offer.

This grant award from the Daniels’ Fund recognizes not only the success of teams and individual players, but also Storm’s nationally and internationally recognized coaching staff and club leaders. “We are honored to be recognized by the Daniels Fund for our commitment to the development of our highly talented players,” said David Dir, President and Executive Director.  “This allows us to provide the best value possible for our families while pursuing our goal to be the ‘Best Developmental Club in the Country’”.

Colorado Storm will utilize this funding to lower registration costs for players in these programs during the 2017-18 season.  Through Storm’s commitment to making youth soccer accessible to all children that want to participate, this grant is just one example of the club’s goal to make soccer more affordable for all Storm players.
