College Night Presentation

Welcome to the Colorado Storm College Advisory program. The Colorado Storm College Advisory Program (CAP) is for the U14 to U18 age groups. Colorado Storm will maintain and present an in-house College Advisory Program (CAP). Why? Colorado Storm has the knowledge, resources, and contacts to aide our student-athletes and parents on how to navigate the College search process. The College Advisory material Storm presents is from online resources and real-life experiences working with college coaches.

The Storm College Advisory program will cover several areas to help guide the self-recruiting process for each player.

Here are some areas that will be covered:

  • The importance of good grades
  • The role of the student and parent
  • How to identify a school
  • How to communicate with a college coach
  • Ideas to help pay for school
  • College testing and admissions
  • Proper use of social media networks
  • The role of the club coach in the College search process

The Storm College Advisory program will provide separate annual meetings for boys and girls with local college coaches. Individual team meetings are highly suggested for the U14 to U16 teams and any team that will travel.

We will also have a series of open meeting presentations concentrating on specific topics that pertain to the College search process.

To set up a team meeting or need more information, please contact your regional CAP Director:

College ID Camps -

Colorado Storm is excited to host the 4th Annual Storm Girls College ID Camp from July 25-27, 2018.  This event is designed to simulate a college environment with college coaches leading high-level training sessions.  Participants will benefit from exposure to high level NCAA and NAIA programs, as previous attendees have been identified and recruited due to their performance at this event.

College ID Camps are a key element of the college recruiting process.  Often times, when playing with your club team, college coaches will only be able to see a half of a game or possibly less.  The Storm College ID Camp will allow multiple days for the college coaches to not only see you at your best on the field, but they will also get to know your personality, work ethic, and coachability – elements which are often the best indicators of success at the college level.

Since not every player will end up at a NCAA Division I program, this event will provide a cross-section of Division I, II, III and NAIA head and assistant coaches.  All of our coaches bring vast experience in the college game and passion to help players achieve their goals, whether at their institution or another.
Field sessions will be supplemented with off-field programming which could include a college recruiting panel, sports psychology seminar, nutritional guidance, conditioning and recovery sessions, and ample time to conduct Q&A with the college coaches in attendance.

Registration is OPEN.  Early sign-up is encouraged as this camp will sell out!

Camp is open to any and all participants, regardless what club you player for, limited only by number and age.

Colorado Storm is excited to announce our partnership with College Fit Finder for our High School age groups in an effort to further assist our players in connecting them to the collegiate level.

As we strive to engage players, parents, and our own staff in the recruiting process, the club is providing this robust tool to EVERY High School age player/family.

The College Fit Finder provides our players with a competitive advantage over a typical student-athlete navigating the recruiting process. This comprehensive system allows for individuals to take ownership of their future by equipping them with tools necessary to find a home at the college level. As a club, we are committed to not only player development, but truly being a catalyst in helping our players fulfill their dreams of playing collegiate athletics and accessing higher education. The College Fit Finder will provide uniformity to the club's recruiting efforts and will allow for our coaching staff to take a much more personal approach in helping our athletes throughout the process.

We look forward to facilitating the recruiting efforts of every family looking to play at the next level.
